If only a girl could have as many clothes in her closet as she has styles in her mind, then it would be such an easy world for her. But let’s wake up to the fact that not every female has Kylie Jenner’s closet or Paris Hilton’s wealth. An ordinary girl just has a little space enough for her ample amount of clothes.
Do you ever wonder how a fashionphile survives the obligatory dress-up days that happen (take note) every so often? Insert new event here, slash off moolah there. Sometimes (or rather most of the time), it isn’t practical to spend your hard-earned cash on clothes, accessories and whatnot. But how do you solve this problem if you want to look fashionable yet have to set the spending aside? Let me share to you a trick!
I’ve had this white dress for quite a while, wore it once in summer for a beach trip and lost interest in it thereafter. It was pitifully lying in my closet until I had this event coming but found no time to go out and get a look, so I figured I had to alter it. Sophisticated and classic as I always call my style, I pegged the same for this dress. I thought of draping fabric on the shoulders (of course it has to be something similar with the dress’ material) and then applied my signature lace cutouts, sewed them on the draped part just so it adds a sweeter look. In barely an hour, I had a cold-shoulder dress with lace appliques that looked like a brand new piece!
Being fashionable doesn’t need to be costly. Sometimes, it only takes the right amount of creativity to work things out. Try yours too and let me know about it!
