Lately, just when I see everyone out donning their dressed-to-kill outfits— casual-defying clothes, boots to the highest they can get and flashy embellishments, I find myself straying from the too overrated bandwagon and just settling for more laid-back choices. Maxis, plain & feminine cut dresses, no heavy accents, flats and toned down everything. I just found my love for simplicity and the humble vibe it brings, hence my prevailing inclination for Bohemian style, parading this black dress with a generous amount of slit showing off a little of my conservative skin. Since I didn’t want to bear the formal character that a black dress exudes, I wore a denim vest along with my undying favorites: dream catchers. Plus, because it’s a relaxed day, I displayed my fancy flats and this leopard print sling bag, to break the dreariness of the solid colors.
I see myself wearing more of this style, very comfortable and out of the fad. At this point, I don’t depict myself going back to my old style wearing nothing but piled-on accessories and heavy dressing. I just hope I won’t flash back to my old wallflower-worthy self clumped in a shell camouflaging the background, almost never seen.
