Most girls would say “I have nothing to wear” when their closet actually has a pile of clothes over clothes over clothes (yeah, it goes on). We seem to be having dilemmas over wearing only 30% of what’s kept inside. But really, how do we maximize what we have, especially the basic pieces? How do we dress up in such a way that we’ll be off the norms, but would still look stylish?

As one lover of dress-ups, I come of ways to set my style apart from everyone. Currently trending are overalls and jumpsuits which would normally be paired with long sleeve tops or shirts as inner wear.

I’d rather keep it more professional looking than casual, so I wore my pastel button-down beneath. To make it less plain, I embellished the look with a round statement necklace which would easily attract people. To finish the look, I wore my pointy stilettos in black, far from the traditional jumper-white sneakers pairing.

It’s a little dressy for casual, yet toned-down for a professional look. With this kind of outfit, uniqueness is put to good use. I’d say this defines the modern corporate woman. Say goodbye to those boring, old school pair of slacks and greet hello to a more contemporary office look!
