Get my look:
Fashion is glitz and glamour, that’s a given. Gone were the days when it was considered a luxury. In contemporary times, everyone can be fashionable in their own little ways – we have a lot of emerging fashion talents to appreciate, fashion bloggers and designers included. Let me spill some deets on the perks and privileges we get. Aside from being able to dress up the way we want to & being able to don the latest trends, here are some things about being a fashion blogger and designer that you would be glad to discover!
.) We get to express our creativity. Fashion is not just dressing up. It’s an art that requires exemplary skills.
.) By being a fashion blogger, we get exclusive/VIP invites to events and product launches (and a whole lot of freebies, too!). And if you get these, you’re a legit blogger, lol.
.) When you’re a designer, you get to dress yourself up wearing you. (Get me?) This goes well when you have nothing to wear and then you impulsively create something out of your hands in no time!
.) You meet a lot of people – media personnel, business owners, fellow enthusiasts and other professionals. Social media isn’t some sort of a secret haven, because you get exposed a lot.
.) You get to discover your readers/followers. This is something that I appreciate a lot. It’s so overwhelming when readers message you out of the blue, complimenting your work, more so when you meet them in person!
.) When you’re both a blogger and designer, you get to promote your creations in an easy peasy way (and for free, haha). This is my way of marketing my works digitally. I wear my own designs most of the time and then cross post them on my social media accounts. Like this top, for instance! It’s my new design for Kaile Clothing.
.) Free clothes and products from online shops and businesses. Blogging is the new media of the digital age, that’s why a lot of companies collaborate with bloggers when it comes to digital marketing campaigns. Who wouldn’t love free stuff in exchange for a review? 🙂
.) You get acknowledged on social media and publications. This is another way of marketing yourself and your creations, and by far my most favorite one. As a blogger and designer, you are your own product and you have to go out there and sell yourself. Print and media features are surefire ways to promote yourself and attract prospective clients.
